(English) It was Denise und Martino’s big dream: to celebrate their wedding in beautiful Switzerland, because the lovely couple lives in faraway Singapore. That’s why they invited their parents and siblings as well as many friends from Switzerland to attend the special ceremony in the Collegiate Church of St. Gallen. Father Andy Givel knew perfectly well how to find the right English words and very soon Denise and Martino left the cathedral as newly-wed bride and groom.
The married couple and guests came together for the wedding reception in a venerable old “Erststockbeizli” (as the charming restaurants on the first floor of St. Gallen’s Old Town are affectionately referred to). The “Wirtschaft zur alten Post” (“Old Post Restaurant”) managed to pull off an exciting feat by balancing between old-established Swiss local specialties such as Appenzell cheese soup and St. Gallen Bratwurst (sausage), traditional Asian delicacies such as sushi and Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli). A surprising culinary delight for every guest.
Later, the company gathered in the “Schnuggebock” themed restaurant, where they partook in a genuine Swiss dinner banquet, as in the olden days and times of yore.
Dear Denise, dear Martino, I hope you that you enjoyed your wedding and that it happened the way you dreamed it would be. Dreams are important and that’s why my wish for you is to always discover new dreams and ideas and pursue them together. All the best for your common future!
